CAS’s Artistic Director first started performing on stage as the lead singer of the internationally recognized group, Ed Fogell Cabaret for more than a decade. Ed will be the first to say that his training at Ted Liss School of Drama & Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts were truly influential to him as an actor. His efforts in the performing arts have earned him much recognition , winning the Silver Hugo Award at the Chicago International Film Festival and as The LA Telly Award Winner. He is known across the board for his contributions as a performer, director, and producer within theatre productions, films,  television, features, musical variety shows and within the corporate commercial industry too. 

As the Artistic Director, Ed’s efforts at our studio are limitless. He can be found coaching the Advanced Acting as a Craft class, teaching private lessons & offering career counseling services for those who are serious about acting professionally. Ed’s contributions do not stop at the studio. He has frequently served as a judge and chairman for beauty pageants in Illinois and is highly respected on the board of directors at Complete Video & Film Productions. Ed is also the President of Worldwide Entertainment

Ed possess a refreshingly honest, no nonsense approach to the method, coupled with an unequaled passionate affection for the actors he coaches, specifically his commitment to helping them fulfill their dreams.

Michelle Burke

Meet MICHELLE BURKE, newest member of our teaching staff here at The Chicago, Actors Studio. Go to IMDB and be amazed at her long list of accomplishments that include "Dazed and Confused"; "LOL"; "Coneheads"; Major League I & II"; "Captors"; "The Last Don" and so many more.

She will be sharing with students here at CAS her many secrets to success while unleashing her finely honed skills amongst the students here that are fortunate enough to secure a spot in her class.

Denise Stout

Youth Program Director

Denise Stout has worked as a Teaching Artist and Acting Coach, since 2000 in Chicago. Denise studied at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia from 1968-1972 at the Cap & Bells Shakespeare Theater
Her work with the Garrison Forrest Theater in Baltimore was her first experience in teaching children’s drama in 1977-1980. Taking time off to raise four children, she conducted a one woman show for 20 years. She returned to acting with The Children’s Theater of Western Springs in 2000 in Scrooge, the musical. At the local, Community Players in Hinsdale, she performed with all the Summer Musicals for 10 years as an artist-in-residence. 
Continuing her career with Voice Over projects with Tyndale House Bible Series while she improved her teaching, acting & voice over skills with Chicago Actors Studio since 2010.
Acting in summer musicals with BAM Theater in Hinsdale, Denise recently worked with hundreds of young actors in Grease and West Side Story. 
Denise can also be found doing interactive storytelling at many children’s programs. As an actress, her resume includes films, commercials & stage credits. She finds the imaginations of children the most stimulating & enjoyable with which to work! She loves her six grandchildren who she sincerely believes that story telling develops creative minds & confidence in all who explore their dreams.
