The Actor & The Camera

  • Knowing the difference between acting for the stage & acting for the camera, while mastering both is vital to your success in this business. Voice & Movement

  • This workshop is designed as a supplementary tool to help actors improve, both physically and vocally. The focus is on learning the craft of stage aesthetics & techniques. More specifically; stage presence, character development, relaxation, symmetry and MORE.

Directing

  • Here you will learn first-hand, the entire process of putting on your own production from the first audition to the closing night performance. In this program you will get to choose a one-act play to direct, and have mounted on our stage for a 4-week run. With the personal guidance of the CAS artistic director, Edward Fogell, you will bring your theatrical vision to life!

Improv Technique

The Method International Workshop

  • The Strasberg “Sense Memory” Method, as developed by Lee Strasberg, is a technique in which an actor draws on the memory of sensations from personal experiences to create a genuine response in their characters.

Acting In Film

  • As a participant in this workshop series, you'll get to choose a scene you'd like to perform and then get personal direction during rehearsal so that your performance is the best it can be. Then, when we shoot your scene, we'll actually take you out on location and record your performance with professional gear. When we’re shooting other students’ scenes, you’ll get to experience being a part of the crew and learn how to run the camera, lighting, sound, etc. Finally, once the workshop series is over, you'll get an edited clip that will look just like a scene from a feature film, and will be the perfect addition to your reel.
