Youth Acting Classes

Whether your child has never taken an acting class before, or they have recently begun their training, our youth workshops are the perfect platform for new students or those seeking to continue growing their skills in the world of performing arts!

These workshops are specifically designed to introduce young actors to the skills required to create a professional-grade performance, all while having fun and meeting others alike! Your child will get a chance to explore the creation of a character through voice, movement & imagination. Students will work one-on-one with the instructor in addition to group-focused exercises, all while adhering to social distance protocols. Instructors focus on leading young aspiring actors through creative role play, improvisation, performance of text & other fun activities. Join us!

Renewing creativity took time after Covid. These last two years, Chicago Actor’s Studio collaborated with teachers and actors to create theatre games that would promote genuine curiosity and unity within the group. After so long out of the classroom due to the pandemic, creativity needed a renewal of energy. CAS creates a fun and welcoming environments for kids to express themselves and work with their peers. The integration of improv and drama with theatre games hit the perfect place to foster creativity and growth of energy!

Instructor Denise Stout

Denise Stout has worked as a Teaching Artist and Acting Coach, since 2000 in Chicago. Denise studied at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia from 1968-1972 at the Cap & Bells Shakespeare Theater.
